Here I am!

Here I am, 6 months later from the last time I blogged, and still at that same weight. I know it is because I've not been to the gym since June. And I haven't been careful about what I eat. No one needs to beat me up about it, I've done that enough to myself. Now I'm facing a friend's wedding in a strapless gown in May. If anything will inspire a change, that should! I'll be stopping by the gym today when I'm in town to sign up for a personal trainer to get me going on the road to recovery. Wish me luck!

Val do you need a fill?  I didn't continure to lose weight after I had lapband surgery either. I even gained some back.   I then read a post that said that if you are hungry within 3 hours of eating, you may need a fill.  I have followed that advice and have lost weight steadily since.

When the weight started coming off, it made me want to exercise.  I got a personal trainer and love it.  I hope you will like yours as well as I do.  I go twice a week.

I am 17 months out from surgery and I weight 163, wear a size 10 and off most meds.  I have lost 74 pounds (most in the last 11 months).

Good luck.  You will look stunning for the wedding.

Yes, I do need a fill. I've been scheduled in November and January, and each time the weather has been TERRIBLE, and I don't dare go on the roads to Minot. I need to reschedule and keep my fingers crossed for February.

I can tell I need a fill because my tummy is growling. But I also have not made the best choices when I have something to eat. I've started on my protien shakes for breakfast, a light soup for lunch, and then a decent meal for evening. I've lost a few pounds the last few days, and I go in today to sign up for a trainer. Thanks for the encouragement!

Sounds like you are on the right track.  Good for you.  Try to get a fill as soon as the roads are good.  It will be such a help for you.

Please post on how you like the trainer.  I love mine.  And congrats on the lost pounds.

Val...You are doing fine...Until this crappy weather stops or at least slows up i'm in the same boat as you are...I really want my fill...I have been playing with the same 5 pound for the past 3 months and really want to get rid of it soon...I've notice that the longer i go needing a fill  the easier it is to make the wrong choices for something to snack on...Today was REALLY BAD for me...We had birthday cake for one of my cowokers and i ate most of my piece and then i ate 2 mini snickers (Snicker have been off limits every sense i had surgery...Good Luck with the Trainer...I myself have to kick my own butt into gear...I have a nice new treadmill and an elliptical machine downstairs as well and the wii fit upstairs...but if i don't get on them then they don't do much for me...Keep thinking positive and picture yourself looking skinny and sexy in that strapless dress...

You, young lady, have been doing wonderfully!  95 lbs!  I can only wish, and I had more to lose than you!  Yes, motivation seems to be a problem for me. That is why I need someone to push me. I'll keep you posted on how it goes with the trainer. Thanks for the encouragement!

Val,
Good to hear from you. I believe in you and that you will be back on the road/track again. Sometimes people take detours. You have the tool and once you get your fill you will be able to work that tool better.

Keep us posted on ANY progress even if it is something small and what you think of as countless. We are all interested in hearing from you.

I am so ready for these cold snaps and winter to be done with!! I have 16 more winters to face and then were out of here! The south is sounding so good right now LOL

Well, I do have something to report!  I've lost 4 lbs as of this morning!  See wha****ching yourself can do, eating protein instead of cereal for breakfast?  Don't look at my progress meter below, because it doesn't show I had gained 10 lbs., something I'm not too proud of.  When I get below that, I'll start moving it again.

Thanks for the support, gals!  I've slipped away for awhile, trying to get settled into the new office, new home, etc. The stress had me eating anything and everything. I know I shouldn't have allowed it, but I did. Time to restart.  And I'm making progress!  Monday, personal trainer time!  If I'm not too exhausted from the workout, I'll let you know how it went!   HEHEHEHEHEHE.

Way to go!!
I think I am carrying those 4 pounds you lost! plus 1 more.
No not from eating but from...
wearing 2 pairs of pants
2 pairs of socks
2 shirts
Yes, I am for real!!
I am so tired of being cold, this is what I have resorted to. LOL
I weighted myself before getting dressed and then after. It was 5 pounds heavier once dressed- can you believe wearing 5 pounds of clothing? Going to the rest room has proven a bit of a task. Getting all the pants pulled back up and into the right spot LOL
Enjoy the day!
