Williston Gal Home After RNY

I had my surgery Wednesday morning, Nov. 19th in Bismarck and Dr. Bruderer and crew did an excellent job.  Was discharged on Saturday, stayed over at the Motel and drove home Sunday.  Feeling good, good, good.  Perhaps a little tired and have been tolerating those tiring clear liquids but looking forward to Thanksgiving day when I will partake in some mashed taters, pureed sweet taters and some other FF delectable "mushy" things.  I am down  about 26 pounds from when I first was weighed at consultation with Dr. B
I have been staying away from the scales and will be "dying" to see what they read when I go back for my 2 week check.

Hope Everyone has a Blessed Thanksgiving~~~~~~~~~~
I know I have so much to be thankful for this year and every year.

Hugs.

Congrats on reaching the other side...glad everything went well for you!  The mashed taters will taste delicious after liquids.....though you won't be able to eat too much of them!

Have a great Thanksgiving.

Hi Sandy

Congrats on you doing so well !!  Good luck and just stay focused.   You can do it......
I didn't get a scale until about 4 or so months out.  I only wanted to know from the docs office.

OH - you wanted to know what brings a TXN to the ND boards?   I grew up in Streeter, ND.
Moved from there 1981 to Oklahoma City.....Job transfer from OKC to Dallas, TX in 2002.
My dad lives in Jamestown, so I still have some connection there !!!  hehehehhe

I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving Day !!
  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Hey Phyllis....Thanks for the well wishes. Good to hear from an old "North Dakotan".  Fantastic place to be from and I love it here .  Of course, I live in northwest ND and very close to the Montana and Canadian borders.  Our economy is good here unlike other areas in the US.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with my Dh, DS, DIL and Granddaughter and Grandson.  They did all the prepping, cooking and clean up~~~~~~~~~~~~what more could a Grandma ask for?  LOL  I have so much to be Thankful for.
