New up date on Becky D

I talked to Becky this afternoon. She is making me look bad! LOL. She is doing good and has been out walking full floor laps a couple times today. She is having ice chips **** has never tasted so good). Tonight she is looking forward to Broth for dinner. She says her tummy is sore and that maybe she hasn't been hitting the button enough for pain meds. She had trouble sleeping last night. She said it seemed she would wake every hour. She says she is so tired and never as a rule just falls a sleep, I told her to rest and enjoy cause real life is gonna slap her back to reality soon! LOL
She is doing good in da neighborhood!

Thanks, Tink!  How are you feeling?  You girls are going to slide on by me and lose so fast! Sometimes I wish I'd done RNY, but my hubby was afraid of it, and so was I. Oh well, I've lost 65 lbs and if I hadn't done this, I'd have gained that much by now!  

Doing ok, sip and walk, eat and sleep..thats how the days are spent.
Walked 3 blocks on Sunday eve
Walked 1/2 mile On Monday
Walked 1 mile this eve (Tuesday).
I think I will keep it at that lenght for a week or so before increasing it,that took an hour to walk!

Motivation?  Hmmm...Buying a house work? My exercise lately has been going through closets and storage tubs to try and get rid of junk in my house. We are bidding on a house and will need to sell this one. That means people will be looking at my closets, cupboards, etc. I've lived in this house 15 years. You start to realize how much junk you can collect over that time. And how much you need to clean those places you never think about.

I started out with the plateau busters yesterday to get going again, then my long lost friend from Minot showed up and we went out to lunch and talked for hours. So I have to start over today. And keep cleaning.

I have a TON of dresses and NICE clothes that I wore when I worked at the bank, stuff I don't want to just give away when I know I can get a few $$ for them. So now I need to figure out how to sell on ebay or find time for a rummage sale between everything else. I want to keep a few things for my shrinking sizes. I have sizes 22-28, I'm in between 22 and 26 depending on the cut. I now work at home and wear alot of jeans and tshirts! But i need a nice outfit for special occasions or wedding and funerals, so need to keep a few.

Glad to hear you are doing so well!  Keep it up! Then come get that cart at Walmart and run my heels over for me to get me moving!

How far out are you from Fargo again? I only ask for a couple of reasons.
1. I can clip your heals here at Walmart LOL
2. We have a plus size consignment store where they will sell your GOOD undamaged clothes
Give it some thought. You wont get rich off it but it will be something

Hmmmmm....lets see.  You are on the border of Minnesota. I'm 18 miles from Montana. 60 miles from Canada. I can be in Fargo in 7-8 hours!  I'm thinking maybe ebay is the way to go. LOL.  Does the consignment store take mail-ins? 

Val..I am from Williston and know of a consignment store in Minot called the CLOSET CONNECTION that takes good used clothes.  It is an awesome store  and perhaps you could check into it and it is alot closer than Farago.   :-)

Cool!  Another person from Willieville!  I'd love to get a group of us together to meet sometime, an informal support group! I know of several others who have had lapband and RNY, and the ones I know of could be a fun group!

Hi Val....Yes, I am from "Willyville"....Grew up here, went to school here, married here and moved away for 20 years and then moved back again and have been here ever since.  My hubby and I are driving to Bismarck on Tuesday the 26th for my first initial contact with a surgeon and their bariatric team etc.  I will know more after that .  The Closet Connection in MInot is west of TARGET in a little strip of businesses.  It is almost next door to the BLIMPIES sandwich shop.
I think you will be impressed.  They take nice brand name clothing and are pretty fussy about what they will consign. 
I am leaning towards the RNY procedure, Val.  I will post more info next week.
By the way, did your maiden name start with a "G"?
