Help! I need some inspiration!

I don't know what's going on with me, I just can't seem to get motivated to stick with "the rules" and start back on the weight loss journey. I have been sitting on the same 3-4 lbs up and down for 2 months now. I have been eating things I shouldn't, like chips and nacho cheese, and Dairy Queen has called my name a couple of times and I answered. Plus my exercise partner broke her ankle a month ago, and I've only gone once on my own.

I'm scheduled for an appointment on the 11th in Minot, maybe Jackie can kick me in the butt and get me going! And maybe I'll get a fill, which might help.

Just feeling a little stupid, because I know what I need to do, just am not doing it.  Thanks for listening.

I wish I knew what to tell ya.  It's kinda scary to hear that those things are calling your name as I was hoping that wouldn't be an issue after surgery.  Is there someone else in your area to call.  Someone in your support group up there? As I"m doing the liquid diet, I keep telling myself, "I will not fail"!  Hang in there!

Val,

I see you have Lap Band- does that mean you have no food restrictions?

My first flag was to tell you Back away from the chips and no one will get hurt!
Those are carbs, and not good ones.  Protein first, veggies second and then carbs.

Are you at the end of honeymoon stage and need to kick it in gear?- Force yourself to at least go walk the block or a mall! No food court! LOL

Maybe do what people do to kids- if ya don't eat your veggies no.... for you.
Make up your own story line. If I don't go for a walk.. I can not...... that day.

Past that, I don't know I am not there yet :(

I hope you get it in gear and if ya need someone to type to I am usually around!!

Thanks for the offer, I may be typing you ALOT. Yeah, the honeymoon is over, now it's time to get to work. Thanks for the suggestions. Guess it will have to be SuperWalmart, no mall in Williston!  I know all that you said is true, I just needed the reminder. Thanks!

Val,
Good morning!
Here is a couple more thoughts! LOL go figure

Any one on your block or do you have small kids? Maybe offer to take a child for a walk (stroller) so you can push and walk and get like double exercise!! Kids make us smile!
How about walking a dog? Borrow one if you don't have one!

Remember I am here for ya! Also remember when I start complaining- give it right back to me LOL
Have a wonderful day!

LOL, I'm up for a couple more thoughts!  I don't have kids, and my neighbors average about 80 yrs old, I think. But, I do have 2 dogs, both growing fatter as they get my leftovers since I can't eat as much anymore. I have thought of starting to walk them, but I live in the "mosquito zone", with the worst mosquito population in North Dakota, I swear!  And I can't handle the heat of the day when the mosquitos are also hiding out. So September looks like my best bet for that. In the meantime, I need to get my behind back down to the gym. I had a regular appointment with my friend before she broke her ankle, I just need to make a regular appointment with myself and go. I just have to move past the "thinking" and get to the "doing"!

There are times when I wonder if I should have gone for the RNY as you are doing. Not as many free choices of what you can eat. Ah, well, it is done, now I need to put my "tool" to work. Are you getting excited for your surgery? How are you feeling? Hope all is going well. Thanks for the pep talk!

Ok, here is a couple more thoughts lol ready?

IF I lived closer I could drive behind ya at walmart in one of those elec carts and try to clip your heals! that would keep ya moving at a good clip.

IF I lived closer and were fit I could chase ya with a hot poker.
I just kill myself sometimes.LOL

About my surgery:I don't get excited about things like this. I know it is 6 days away and the day will come. I know it sounds odd. My mind is just trainned to not get excited or I will get sick and not be able to have it.

I will be excited a few days/months after surgery when I know I made it through and I start to see some changes LOL
Have a wonderful day
