So how is everyone doing? N2B here I guess., Well lately I have been kinda worried. Its like I eat and eat and eat and NEVER EVER GET FULL anymore! Before I would eat get full and then I am done but, now I am gaining weight like CRAZY and am NOT GETTING FULL?!?!? WHATS WRONG? (*have NOT had surgery yet!*) Also how much weight do you think would be to much for an horse to carry?.....200....250....300?  I have heard alot of things from different people and I know all about the 20% rule or whatever but, I am just wondering what you all think. Let me know! THANKS!!!

So much depends on the horse, and if it is solidly built, how big it is, etc. it is hard to say. A big Percheron work horse could handle alot, a normal quarterhorse,  hard for me to say. I guess if you have a horse, talk to the vet and see what they say!

I would think it was depend on the size of the horse.  I myself have been on a horse in years because the one my family had were smaller.  They now have a huge tennessee walker but I want to wait until I get banded and lose at least 75 lbs before I try to ride.

High/Current/Goal = 310/215/170

I haven't been on a horse in probably 20 years, mainly because of my size. My hubby knows I love horses, and wants to get a pair so we can go riding, but I keep telling him we need to wait until I lose some of my weight, because the horse and I will both be more comfortable! I've got a long way to go before I'm ready. THen I'll probably have to relearn how to ride!
