Newbie!
Hi all!
Just found this site, wanted to say "Hi". I had my lapband surgery on the 4th of February, 2008. I am doing ok, still a little sore, and getting tired of liquids and yogurt. Tomorrow I get "pureed" foods! Woo hoo, something with some flavor!
If any of you have insights on good things to have for pureed food, please let me know, I'd love some new ideas!

I mostly ate pureed eggs...the thought of it now is gross lol but at the time it went down well! My husband did pureed chicken but make sure it is in enough broth or it will get stuck, and even though it's pureed make sure to CHEW CHEW CHEW! I guess I can't give a lot of advice for the lap band I'm not sure how different they are because I had the RNY. Glad to hear everything is going well. Congratulations!
I just bought some eggs last night, looking forward to them for lunch. I don't think there is really alot of difference, other than the absorbsion (sp?) between the band and RNY. Still has a small pouch and hole, and protien and all are just as important. Chewing is going to be an issue I have to concentrate on, along with drinking water, because I don't do enough of either. I guess I'll learn my lesson if I don't, so I'd rather not learn the hard way! Thanks for the ideas!
Yeah, I had a lot of trouble with getting my water in...even now I struggle with it. When I'm at work I can get it all in but at home things get in the way and I just plain forget to eat and drink sometimes! And I still have trouble eating to fast...and lately I notice I let my self get to full...I need to go back to eating till I'm satisfied and not "full" if that makes sense. I don't want to stretch my pouch after all the hard work I've put in. Keep up the good work
