Newbie here

Hello everyone, just wanted to drop a quick line and say hi. I just found this group after visiting my Surgeon's office and getting the "bible" as the call it to WLS. I am awaiting insurance approval right now. I go to see the dietician on Tuesday and hopefully if the insuracne approval comes in within the next 2 weeks I will be able to have surgery within a month, that is what the nurse told me Wednesday. Just wondering where everyone else is in thier journey and you are handling things. I look forward from hearing from all of you.

Hello to you, too. Hopefully you'll get everything in order and you'll have your surgery soon. I just had mine done on the 9th of this month and I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to know that's over and done and that I'm beginning a brand new life.

How are you doing? Did you have your surgery in Fargo, if so who is your doctor? I am getting so nervous, scared really. Not sure how all this is going to pan out, hopefully great. Thanks for the response, doesn't look like this is a very active board.

I had my surgery in Bismarck, which is where I'm from and my doctor is Brent Bruederer. I was terrified right before the surgery too but things went smoothly. Im plowing through the second stage of the diet (full liquid pureed) and trying to adapt to having so much so often. Yes, I noticed that too and what ticks me off is that on the main forum page, every post you make has to go through a moderator...thank god this isn't a suicide hotline, eh? lol.

Hello, You are newbi as I am too. I am seeing a wls Dr. in Fargo, I am going through merit care, Dr. monson. Who are you seeing? I have been through my dietians appts, three months worth, I have had the physical, the 7th I go to the physic exam, I also wsa told I needed a referral to a sleep apnea Dr, so I am waiting for that appt. Well hello, I am seeing Dr. Garcia in Fargo. I have my surgery on June 4th, just 3 more weeks. Yikes, things are going by fast. I haven't been on here for awhile been so busy with my kids, life is crazy. Yes stay in touch, hope to hear you have a surgery date soon. Nette
