Congratulations on your surgery. My issue with Dr Miles doe not do my surgery. In fact there are no surgeon that do my surgery (VSG) in Wilmington. My doctor checked out the area bariatric doctors, then recommended Mr. Miles.
Did you have to pay an upfront fee prior to surgery (not paid by insurance) ?...
Does Miles Surgical or the hospital have a pre & post surgical nutrional support system?
I am trying to get a feel for what Dr Miles practice offers to assist with post op status.
Thanks Caroline

Hi all,
This is a double shift day so I will be very busy. We pick up our son at the bus station around 9pm. He is taking a break from medical school and wants to chill.
So, I won't be getting anything else done today.
You?

Hi all,
Today is going to be another warm day. I am thinking of running some errands and then I have to work this evening. My coworker is trying to pull the wool over my eyes telling me she is going to do one thing if I work her shift tomorrow night but is doing something totally different. So I may or may not work her shift. It is, three hours shorter than the one she worked for me. Hmmm....
My stepson is taking the bus down to be with us this weekend. I am glas about that. Hopefully he can get some studying done.
Meeting a friend Tuesday who will help me get through my MS Office course. I need to get this out of the way. Just not interested any more.
Well, I hope you all have a great day!!

Hi all,
It's back to work day. I feel like I have been away a long time but it's only been since last Friday. It's going to be a nice warm day. Hopefully I can get out for some vitamin D (sunshine). Got rid of all the boxes in the spare room so that Steven will have a place to sleep when he comes on Friday. He is our med student. Very proud of him we are.
Have a great day all!!

Glad to hear your husband's surgery went well! I hope his recovery is an easy one.
I spent the day shopping for beads with a friend. She's pre-op for lapband so we also went to a support group her nutritionist recommended at Wake Med in Cary. It was a very interesting meeting. The guest speaker was actually the psychologist I went to for my psych eval! His presentation was on body image and it couldn't have come at a better time for me. My head has not caught up with my body so I still struggle thinking I'm larger than I am. It happened to me today at a consignment shop. The clerk told me she had just marked down some XS and S items in the back if I was interested and showed me where they were. My initial thought was "who the hell are you talking to? I won't fit in that!" Luckily I kept it to myself. And I did walk out with a 100% cashmere sweater, size small for $20!
But back to the psychologist. I posed my question to him about when my head would catch up to the weight loss. He said it generally takes anywhere from 18 months to 3 years for you to see yourself as you are. He did say that the more you look at yourself in the mirror, the more your brain starts to see itself at the new weight. Interesting, huh?

Hi everyone,
Hubby made it through surgery just fine. Today is caring for him. I'm going to slowly move all those boxes downstairs that I have been asking him to do. His son is coming to visit on Friday so that room needs to be cleaned out. I want to make an appointment this week to get our will updated and taxes done. Other than that, no other plans.
What are you up to?
