Topic: Monday Roll Call

Hi all,
We got a chance to hang out on Culpeper yesterday and found a few great date night places to go once moved. We went to a park and there were live bands playing all afternoon. We saw the cottage again and before we move, I am going to get a cleaning crew out there and do a deep clean from top to bottom. This is a great little project house.
Today we go up north to Fairfax. I think hubby is going to drop the dog and me off at my cousin's house and he is going to meet his sons at Silver Diner. Then come back to my cousin's house for a BBQ.
Tuesday is supposed to be nasty weather day and I'm not looking forward to the drive back down to NC. Wednesday doesn't look any better. Oh well.
I hooe you all have a great Memorial Day!

Hi all,
Up here in VA. Did a lot of errands yesterday and still forgot to pick up hubby's car at work. So, back to Culpeper today. Want to go through the house again and figure out where things are going to go so no biggy. Went to the store yesterday and got some food for hubby so he will eat over the next couple of weeks. His friends are taking very good care of him.
Tomorrow it is up to Fairfax to have a BBQ with my cousin then I will leave early in the morning on Tuesday for the trip back home. Got a trunk full of boxes so I won't need to scrounge any more. I am getting excited about our new adventure.

Hey, I am off to get my coffee machine fixed today. This will be an all day event. I will be back, hopefully by 3pm. Then, it is recycling, walk the dog and pack.

Hi all,
Well today will have to be busy. I loafed most of the afternoon yesterday and feel really guilty about that
. So, this is going to be short. I need to change and get to the gym.
I am hoping at our new home our landlord will let me work on his ranch. That will be exercise lol.

Thank you for the reply, and YES you are correct. An appeal with a denial is still a "try". The only problem I have right now is that all my doctors and even the surgeons in this area are telling me that it isn't worth trying to appeal because the answer is always NO, and I would be wasting more time. If I had the $13grand to self pay on hand, this would never be an issue. Thanks again
Topic: Sleeve and insurance issues
Hello all! I have medicare and medicaid which means I am in insurance hell right now. Living in Concord near Charlotte and really wanting to get the VSG (sleeve) surgery. I know that Medicare has decided not to cover unless it is a research trial (which doesnt seem to be happening anywhere). Medicaid, to my knowledge, is only covering RNY and maybe band, so that is probably a NO to the sleeve in NC as well. It is so frustrating because I know people in other states that have had their sleeve covered by medicaid (florida for instance). What I need to know now : If I have Medicare, is there an individual plan I can pay for in addition to Medicare that is covering the sleeve? Does it even work that way? If you have had any luck in NC with coverage of the sleeve, please let me know who covered it so I can contact them about individual plans/self pay insurance that is not work related. Not sure if these exist now. Anything to avoid $13,000 for cash option surgery is what I am looking for. Don't think I will get the loan I seek from banks I applied to with my low income, so what are the other options? Does anyone know answers to these questions? THANK YOU

I'll be sad to see you go...but congrats on finding a place! A horse farm sounds pretty!
I'm going to meet up with a good WLS friend for lunch today and then get my hair cut. I really need to exercise today. A week of being sick has kept me from doing much so I need to get back into it.
I'm dealing with taking a very boring but necessary class for my studies this summer. All my classes are online which is great but this class is just stupid. It's "Using Calculators for Business Applications". Ok, this is simply how to use a 10 key pad. I'm doing addition and subtraction on a desktop calculator. I cannot believe this is actually a class!!! Ok, rant done.

Well, looks like the old roll calls end soon. We found a place in Culpeper. It's a two bedroom cottage on a horse farm. Will have to go to a laundrymat for awhile until we can get our own washer and dryer but hey, who cares! So we move sometime in June. All we need is the bucks!
Today is chuck full of errands and things to do. I will have to step up my packing.
