I had mine at DRH on 4/24/12 and they have been pretty good with their communication but like the last poster said, about 3-5 weeks was my norm. I'm the type of person to call when I want to know though so it may have taken longer had they not been afraid I would call them. :)

About 5-6 weeks. I applied in late March 2011 and had my first appt June 13, 2011. You can chose your surgeon, but I didn't have a preference.

I had my surgery at Duke DRH 5 years ago. Duke has two campuses and while they are related, they are different. There is the bigger facility in Durham and the newer program in Raleigh. It took them a few weeks to contact me when I started my journey. I would contact their office and ask the to give you an overview of the timeframes you can expect.
Wishing you all the best,
Barbara

Topic: Vitamins- 3 years post op RNY
Hello everyone,
Early in my post op life I had such a problem getting all my chewables in that after a while my NUT bean letting me take my vitamins in regular pill form. Her philosophy was that at least I'd be getting some vitamin absorption-more than I was getting since I often forgot completely when taking the chewables.
Is anyone else taking regular vitamins? If so, what's your schedule? I am one that needs a set regimen.
Thanks for your feedback!
Tammy

Dr Enochs did my lap band on June 6th. He is wonderful and so is his staff. Any questions, just ask.

Hi,
Is there anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area that can help us load the truck? Anyone?
