I'm considering gastric bypass surgery and am on medicaid. I looked over the info and I am worried about providing 2 years of dieting that I have to prove. I rarely stay on a diet for more than a few weeks and I certainly don't have two years of documentation. Has anyone hear had surgery with medicaid ins? How hard was it to get approved? Thanks in advance.
Thank you...we did find a house in Tryon.
As to my surgeon, HE will just expect me to come see him. *I* am using this as a reason to leave him as his aftercare sucks pond water. He's a fantastic cutter but his office is clueless.
I prefer to find a PCP willing to work with me. We also may run into an issue with insurance as our Medicare Advantage policies tend to want us to stay IN state and my surgeon will be out of state then.

Hope you have liked the properties you have seen in person!
I would think your surgeon could give you a recommendation once you know exactly where you will be living.

YAY FOR YOU!
I was 99% organic and locally sourced prior to the WLS. One of my challenges has been buying the protein shakes and bars and knowing they are processed food. But I will return to the organic lifestyle as soon as I can. Excellent to hear you have made the move to clean eating successfully!

After my first 50 lbs lost, I knew there was NO WAY I was going to have these bat wings hanging off my arms OR a tummy of squishy, stretched skin or a hanging, empty labia. The more it 'deflates' the worse it hangs down, so a mons lift is a must. It is awful! So at a bare minimum, I am going to do that. My husband has thighs that looks like a mudslide (an actual earth event, not the drink) and we are absolutely going to pay for him to have a thigh lift.
I have some AWESOME plastic surgeons in Ballantyne, but am very seriously considering Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey, Mexico. If you go to the PS boards there are a number of patients of his and I have yet to hear anything negative about him. He specializes in WLS PS and that is a big deal to me!

Not sure which surgery you opted for, but in the future, you will find a better response in the surgery type forums...they move MUCH faster than the NC forum. :)

Just wanted to say YAY! I know you are married now and maybe even already home from your honeymoon. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your days!

Would any of you be willing to share you experience with making the decision for PS??
