Bypass after pregnagncy

I had originally consulted ECU about my bypass procedure before finding out I was pregnant. They want me to wait a year before resuming surgery. Do any of you know of others doing this sooner, Duke? I want to be healthy now for these babies.

I had my Lap RNY surgery 8 months after giving birth. I am certain that my suegeon would ve done it sooner, but my hubnby had surgery too and went first. I first saw my surgeon 4 1/2 months after giving birth and there was never a mention of waiting because I had just had a baby. i guess as long as you are not breastfeeding. Hope this helps. R. Sperry
