I'm doing great since the surgery, first of all...had a little stall on loss, but seems to be okay now if today's weight is an indication...however, I have been having a tiny bit of a constipated feeling so for the past few nights have been taking 2 T's of MofM at night in 8 oz of water...usally no big deal, but as the nights go by it tastes worse and worse...tonight was no exception. First, I have realized that a little gas in my pouch imitates feelings of hunger (is this just me?)...but tonight decided to try some cantaloupe for the first time in spite of thinking I had a little gas in my pouch...cantaloupe (about 1/4 cup) was great!..sooooo good. Well, before hitting the hay I mixed up my MofM...and lost my head and gulped it to get it down fast. I've only gotten this pain once before since surgery(on yogurt, go figure)...this was my second time...the pain**** right away and were what I (a woman who has never given birth) would imagine birth contractions to feel like.....then of course, the only way to relieve the pain was to throw up...Milk of Magnesia was no better the second time! YUCK! And, to top it off, since I got rid of it, now I must take it again...slowly...

Hey Misty, sounds like you were dumping. I've dumped 2 times, and I had the cramps, rapid heart beat, sweating, ect. But I've also had just some slight cramps, I sometimes get the light cramps when I drink water too fast or much. I take the MofM alone with no water, and I take 4 tbsp. It works fine. I got deathly sick on broccoli (steamed). The cramps and gas almost killed me, it put me to bed for 5 hrs, before it let up. I've eaten a small amount of cantelope and it didn't hurt me. I have been eating some bananas too. I'm working my way up the fruit ladder.. I hope you feel better soon. Sandi 239/184/130 (hopefully)

Even after almost 8 months, most fruit, unless it is ONE bite, has so much sugar that I will have the bad cramps, chills, have to go to bed. For the constipation, I take 2 benefiber tablets and 2 colace every morning and that seems to do the job most of the time. Sometimes, I will take a 3rd Colace during the day. HTH... Hello friend, I am so sorry you got sick, been there myself ( crab leg nightmare ) .... I have ate cantaloupe a couple times with no problem, I have also had bananas several times and strawberries, also several types of can fruits in no syurp made with Splenda, I have never had any problems with them SO FAR. I have started my weight loss "stall" been at the same weight since Sunday , the scale is not moving a bit. Oh well , I will continue with Curves and hopefully it will move soon. Jamie, I hope during your belly issues you did not miss Taylor on the Idol last night he was WONDERFUL I think Paris did great and Chirs was yummy. WHO WILL BE NEXT, my vote to leave this week is Elliot , poor fellow I have guessed him the last 7 weeks. Take Care Allison

Hi Allison - I agree - Elliot is my pick to go. I am a Chris fan. My son plays in a christian music/contemporary band - plays bass guitar - and he thinks Chris is really good. Said he would buy his music - alot from a 17 year old. When did you start Curves after surgery. My surgery is May 9th and I am planning to join ASAP. But do not want to start too early and hurt myself. How far out were you when you started after surgery? Thanks - Donna

Hi Allison, Well I've lost two pounds since Sunday, after 8 days of going up and down 2/10ths. It was so frustrating, but so good to see the scales move again. I hope it will last! I read so many people post on the main messageboard that 5-6 weeks is about the time they stalled so we are right in there...it must be perfectly normal. I did see Taylor...and I love him! He is just the cutest guy...and his second song...my heart was palpitating the whole time. I may camp out to get tickets to the AI concert this summer so I can sit in the front row and wink at him, ha ha...does this qualify for stalking Talk to you soon, Jamey

Allison Whenever you stall increase your protein and fluids and this will kick-start the weight loss again. Larry

Hello All Donna, I started Curves May 1st and my surgery was March 14th, I may could have started a couple weeks early but I am glad I waited. It is a great workout for me , I did the 2 month join for $99.00 ( Mother's Day special , I don't have kids so I used my doggie Lilly's name as my child ) ... so far so good. Larry , I will do as you have suggested, and will let you know. Jamie, I do like Taylor but the Chris dude is dreammmmmy p.s. hope Gavin does'nt read this

Lord girl. poor bab!. Dont we sound like a bunch of old ladies worried about our bowels??? That is absolutly the pits. My bad day with constipation is now refered to at my house as TWDOML. (the worst day of my life) Good luck with that and hope things work out for you ...get it .... sometimes I just tickle my own self. Gail ps- working nights sends "that" into a tail spin( no pun intended)
