Pay Deductable

I know that we have to pay any balance of our deductable that we have not already met. I checked with BCBS today and could not believe that I haven't already hit the $3285 deductable! Well, I have around $800 saved up already, was hoping that was all I'd need. Anyone else run into this problem? - Susan

Hi Susan, I had met my deductible but the hospital required that I pay the 20% my insurance didn't cover UP FRONT! I didn't have it so I borrowed it from my wonderful mother who said if I didn't pay it back it didn't matter, cause it meant I would be around longer and heathier. Well, I hope to get her paid even if it takes a little while longer, but without her, if I couldn't borrow from a bank, I'd have been stuck. Good luck. Lynne
