Moving to NC

Hi out there, my husband and I are looking into moving to either the goldsboro or grenville area and was wondering if anyone has had much success with BCBS of NC.....Also how far away is goldsboro from greenville, mapquest says it 38 miles and would take 1 hour. How is that possible? We made it from raleigh to goldsboro in about 1 hour and thats about 80 miles(not sure) but its more than 38.....Thanks Nita

Hi Nita! I am in Selma, NC which is about 20 minutes from Goldsboro. My surgeon is in Greenville & it takes about 50-60 min to get there depending on traffic. I moved here from Erie, PA about 10 years ago & sure don't miss all the snow! One of my friends goes to ECU in Greenville and her parents live in Goldsboro -- says it takes her a little under an hour to get there. I believe it takes longer because travel is not on an Interstate or controled access hwy., like you probably took from Raleigh to Goldsboro. I am also in the process of dealing with BCBS of NC, so I will let you know how I make out. Good luck with your move! Cindy A.

Go to Greenville. And I had BCBS. No problem. Approved after first attempt. Did supply info for weight records for almost 5 years...Did not have all 5. Gave all of the attempts. Did the normal pre-op testing and was approved. In NC, they drive slow. It may take an hour to drive 38 miles! But it is more than 38 miles. Has to ******ror. Wish you well Nia

Hello there is a surgeon in Rocky Mount Dr Michael Malik and from Goldsboro you are looking at about 30-40 min drive he also has an office in Cary but Rocky Mount is closer to you.
