Hi Everyone, I'm finally moved into my new apt...hard to do while working as I'm sure you know. I haven't even had time to lurk so I just spent a few minutes reading and thought I would post. I am doing fantastic!!! I have had no problems and I swear I feel better now than I did before the surgery. My hair (knock on wood) is healthier and thicker than it has been before and my skin is glowing. I've lost a total of 40 pounds (15 on the liquid fast and 25 since surgery...or something like that)...I was thinking that was slow, but my nutritionist told me that because I am drinking so much water I might lose slower, but I will be less likely to plateau. So far, that holds to be true. Currently I weigh 241 and my 18's are getting loose. I'm happy to lose at this pace because I would like to try to get out of this with no plastics...but I will have them if I have to...and I haven't had time to get into my regular exercise routine with the move, but I lived on the third floor so the trips up and down have been helpful. I've had two sick episodes...one from eating too fast and one from the sugar in a bbq chicken leg on easter...but they were short and just involved a few minutes in the bathroom. I'm eating about 600 calories per day...low fat, low carb, no sugar. I'm drinking about 80 ounces of liquid...64 water and 20 from the Isopure drink I get everyday. I'm getting 60 to 70 grams of protein and taking all of my vitamins religiously. I could never have guessed this surgery would be so easy and FANTASTIC! It is a godsend and something I've prayed for my whole life. I know I'm in the honeymoon phase, but I think I can do this for the rest of my life. When you allow someone to cut you open it is do or die! I would recommend the surgery to anyone...everything has been great...my surgeon, the hospital, the nutritionist, psychologist, the diet, and all of the new friends I've met on this site and the support you provide! Thanks...you're all angels! Jamey

I was wondering where you were...You're doing great. I feel the same way, I'm so glad that I had this surgery, it gets better and better every day. The more I loose the better I feel. Since my surgery in Feb., I was at 239 and I'm down to 189. I'm thrilled.....Don't stay away too long the next time...Glad that you got moved in alright...You take care of yourself and keep up the good attitude. It's nice. Sandi

Hey Jamey! I've been thinking about you and wondering what you were up to! Glad you got moved in--I know what a hassle it is to unpack all those boxes! So happy to hear that you are not having any problems since the surgery. I'm not either! I've lost 39 pounds so far. I'm getting about 60 to 70 grams of protein in a day without a problem. I do alot of walking at work--Things are really, really good. When you drink Isopure, do you dilute it? What flavors do you like best? I have been using Proscore 100 chocolate (mixed with water) in the mornings--it taste alot like chocolate milk and gives me 32 grams of protein. In the evenings, I dring Nectar Roadside Lemonade or Peach or Carribean Cooler Nectar, which gives me 23 grams of protein. Sometimes I mix crystal light in with these--but most the time they taste fine without it. Take care! Looking forward to more updates! Love from Tamara
