New... question about post-pregnancy surgery

I was in the process of investigating surgery (went to the information session at First Health in Pinehurst) when I found out I was pregnant. I am now about 7 months along and have gained about 14 pounds during the pregnancy. I am wondering how long after giving birth I should wait before attempting to get approved? Due to insurance copays, it would be good if I could have surgery this year, but that may not be reasonable...any advise would be appreciated.

I went through the SAME thing. My OB sent me to see about surgery before pregnancy without testing me. I was told the surgery has to wait 6months after pregancy and breast feeding. But each surgeon may be different on that issue. I would ask the surgeon you intend to see, or just any one that you know of... Good Luck . Krista
