Hi everyone....I'm new here

Hi Christina and everyone else! I'm from Charlotte and new to the forum as well! I have not had my surgery yet, in the final stretches and will hopefully be scheduling for the end of December with Dr. Bauman.  I'm anxious for sure but encouraged by all!! Christina, it seems as if you are doing a fantastic job! Have you had many struggles?

I really have not had any problems. The hardest part was the first two weeks of just liquids....now the way I eat feels normal to me. I'm down 118 lbs now!!!!

Hey all! I new on here too! I'm in Salisbury, NC. Bauman wouldn't take my insurance so I have to fly to Las Vegas, NV for my surgery! I couldn't find anyone closer. I went through BeLiteweight.com so I wouldn't get ripped off. They are great! My doc refused to do the two other surgeries on me. Oh well.

So how did you guys do in pre-op diets, what did you take to the hospital, any one have the sleeve - that's what I'm scheduled for now.

I'm so glad to find this NC site! I didn't know it was here! This is great! Hope You guys accept me!!!

i had surgery with Dr. Cox.  I am his favorite patient.  NOT.  hes been through a lot with me and  I am happy with my surgery!!

I see you had your surgery in July. Do you start losing right away or did it take time? I'm wondering if what I did was right?

I'm in Raleigh NC. I had RNY gastric bypass in June 2007 and have lost about 125 to 130 pounds. I run a support group for WLS patients here in Raleigh.
