Hilary Blackwood from Duke WLS

I am pleased to announce that Hilary Blackwood, ACNP has joined our practice at New Hope Wellness and TOTAL Bariatric Care in Raleigh NC.   Hilary is one of the most experienced people who provide longterm care to bariatric patients in our region!   She most recently spent 10 years at Duke seeing many hundreds of people who have undergone bariatric surgery.  She has great relationships with her patients!  Our focus is on helping people AFTER bariatric surgery, so if you would like to come in for evaluation of a problem or just to have your routine follow up care please just call 919-861-6366 for an appointment.  We also see patients who have had surgery done elsewhere including overseas.

Hi Dr. DeMaria..I had my surgery in July of 2008..I don't know if you will remember me..I realize how many people you see each day and really don't expect you to remember me..but if you look at my profile I think you will remember me. I had a very serious complication and ended up being in a coma and my family being told I would not live thru the night but Thank God and all the staff at Durham Regional I did make it!..I have lost 250 lbs. since surgery and had 2 total knee replacements..long story..I just wanted to say Hello and Thank You for all you did for me..I don't even know if you will see this but I had to take the chance..
