Finally some progress!

For those of you following my journey, I'm so happy to say that I was able to keep down some mashed potatoes yesterday. This is the first of anything I've been able to keep down since the gallbladder surgery. I'm still taking it very slow, but I'm so glad this is at least some progress. I will be so happy when I can get back to 100%. I will still have the PICC and be on the TPN for a few more weeks but hopefully, I can continue to improve and get back to work and back to some sort of normalcy.

On another bright note, I was able to finish all of my graduation requirements (despite all the health issues) and I will be graduating on Thursday evening with my Nursing degree. I went this weekend and bought a dress to wear to my graduation. A size 18! (Down from a 24!)

Also, hopefully this time next week I can be in Onederland. I'm 201.8 right now, so I'd love to see that scale below 200 for the first time in a very long time!

I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

I am so glad to here you are doing better. Recovery is definitly an indiviualized journey. Also, CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a nurse. It is the best profession out there. I have been one for 19 years and still love it the same today as the day i graduated.

Shannon,

I'm so sorry that you've had such a struggle, but I'm glad to hear that you seem to finally be on your way.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation and being able to enjoy a size 18 for a few weeks.

Wishing you continued success,

Barbara
