Did anyone else have problems with dehydration?

I had my two week post op appt. yesterday and the dr. was not too happy. He said I was very dehydrated and he wanted me to go over to the infusion center yesterday to get two liters of IV fluids. I had a very important nursing test yesterday so couldn't go but I did make an appt. for today.  I'm trying to drink, but it's so difficult when you feel so full already. Hopefully I'll start to feel better today after I get the fluids.
Is dehydration common? Did anyone else have this problem?

Hi,

I know this may sound strange but yes and my doctor recommended I increase my salt intake. Whenever I get the stomach flu, I always end up in hospital getting IV fluids.  Water is very important.  Like you, right after surgery, sipping was all I could do also.  In time, you will be able to drink water like normal.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.
