Getting nervous

My surgery is tomorrow (3/5/12). I'm wasn't nervous until now, but it's finally hitting me.
I've been on the liquid diet for two weeks and I'm pretty cranky. I've lost 13 lbs so far just with the liquid diet.  I wanted to cheat so badly, but I didn't. It was really hard watching the kids and my husband eat food and all I could have was my soup, but I'm proud that I didn't cheat. I can't wait until this is over and I can watch the weight fall off.

Hi Shannon,

I've been out of town... actually, I still am, but I haven't been online as much and I just saw your note. Hopefully, by now you are back and home and have begun one of the most amazing journeys of your lifetime. It's really normal to get a case of the nerves right before surgery as the gravity of the journey you are about to embark upon really hits you.

The fact that you wanted to cheat, but didn't is a good thing. It shows that you were really committed to taking care of yourself. Continue that as you continue this new chapter in your life. The key now is do everything that your Dr is telling you to do. Make sure to get plenty of hydration, protein and your supplements. Soooo... sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk to be sure that you take care of yourself.

Best wishes and good luck!
