The Wait

I have done my 6 months and visited my Surgen Dr. Dimitrios Stefanidis, made all the appointments that they require and have done them already. I am waiting for my psychological evaluation to be sent to my doctor. that is all and good, but waht is really making me mad is that i feel i am doing all the work to get my past 5 years of weight. everytime i speak with the dr. office they tell me i am missing another year. i have had some reports faxed over 3 plus times and they still say they have not recieved anything. i faxed over all the requests for weight documents, i have followed up on all the request, and called and called and called.  Why can't i get a straight answer from someone at the dr office. Then they tell me since i have 4 years of weight i should be good. although my insurance requires 5 years i just want to speak with someone who knows what they are talking about. it is driving me crazy. i have been dealing with the wait for about a month now. HELP.

I know it is hard dealing with people sometimes.  We are not a perfect species that is for sure.  But think about the journey to good health that is ahead.  Delays are always for a reason.  Hang in there and soon you will be on the other side of all this.  Huuugzzzzz

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

I think that this part of the journey is one of the hardest parts because we feel so out of control. As Paula said, eventually this will be over and you will move past this and on to the weight loss portion of the journey.

Until then, if it were me, I would gather up all of the information that you have and then go down to the surgeon's office and meet with whomever manages this getting a list of exactly what is missing and what they need. Then, I would see about getting that information for them and hand carrying it to their office. We actually had to do that for my husband and it worked for us.

Wishing you all the best as you continue this journey,

thank you so much for the advise. i am almost to that point. i call on a weekly basis trying to get and up date on what i need, as of today i am waiting on my psychologist to send in my evatluation and then they can send the paper work to the insurance company. the funny thing is i bet i will have to have it sent more than once. Most of the paper work i have had sent over had to be faxed 3 times......

I will take your advise and ask my psychologist to send me a copy of the evaluation so that i can send my copy to the dr office if they can't seem to get it. I will actually send her an email now. thanks....
