Is it possible to drink too much water?

Happy Friday!   My gastric bypass was Monday and now here I am at home, trying to be sure I do everything right.  Can anyone tell me if its ok to drink MORE fluids than what was suggested?  I was so focused on making sure I met the minimum requirements that I never expected I could exceed them!  I love water and as it stands, I can drink double what they have asked me to without any pain. Is that ok?

I would definitly just take things slow. As long as you are sip sip sipping and not gulping. It takes some time for the internal incisions to heal and you don't want to put any stress on the new connections. Fluid is a good thing though. By the way Dr Torquati has been great with me :)

Good luck

Good question!  I'm pre-WLS & am a little concerned about wanting to drink more than what we are expected to.
