Been awhile......
Okay....went to my 3 year post-op appointment, and my weight gain since last year was 7 lbs. My surgeon was appropriately concerned, but didn't make me feel like a failure....not by a long shot! He just helped me to realize that what I've been eating, and the recent lack of physical exercise is what got me here in the first place, and that it can be a fairly easy "fix" if I do what I'm supposed to do!
I'm getting back on track, and have lost about 3-4 lbs already, so I'm feeling a lot more confident in my ability to stay strong and do what I'm supposed to do. He wasn't too concerned with my fasting glucose because my Hgb A1C was normal, so that was a huge relief!
Anyway, thanks to all of you who were so supportive and helpful when I first posted. This message board has never let me down, and I'm so thankful to have you in my corner!!!
Take care, and thanks again!

Hey Besty
I'm so glad things are going good, and going back on track has been a success. And congrats on you A1C level.
I started my 5 day pouch test yesterday. Funny thing is I don't feel hungry but I want to eat so you know that is nothing but head hunger. I've had nothing but liquids for 2 days and I'll start with my protein tomorrow so I looking forward to my chicken breast with salsa. I too haven't had any alcohol and it's been all good. I was a little scared cause my stomach started acting up but it passed.
I hope I can gain the confident level you have. It's there I just have to bring it out.
I'll keep you posted. and Please keep me informed on how things are going.
Take Care
Sharon
