Well I did Day One of the C25K and I feel like I am gunna fall over, Jello legs and twinging lower back muscles, BUT I did it. I even DOUBLED the workout itself by starting it back over, so I probably did about 4 1/2 miles today, NOT bad- that means I did a 5k and then some. I did it outside on the track over at Pope Fitness center. Took me like 2 hours. Yea I know thats a long time but darnit I am out of shape. After smoking for many years and quitting a couple of months ago, I think I did pretty well. But that protein shake went down right after because I knew I would cramp if I didnt do it. I think instead of doing it three days like it calls for, I might do it 5 days a week at most.

Anyhoo the rest of the day is going to be spent finishing cleaning up my house and getting the laundry done. Might do yard work later. I dunno why but I feel energetic today.

Hope everyone has a great day.....

I keep reading C25K and DH all over the forums. What do they mean?
Thanks, Maggie

C25K is the Couch-To-5K running program (or at least that is what I have heard).

Yes it is Couch to 5K. It is a 9 week program. I actually walked, jogged 4 1/2 miles. It runs on 3 days a week for 9 weeks, but I planning on doing it at most 5 days a week. I have a set-up on my mp3 player that does the prompts of when to walk, when to run, and so forth. It's nice. Only wish I had started much sooner. BUT as with any exercise regimine (and YES this is exercise, LOL) check with your doctor first. I always make sure I do before beginning anything like that because who knows if there may be something wrong. Never pays to just wing it when it comes to health.

That is the link to the site. It has lots of resources. As for where I got my music with prompts on there, I don't really remember exactly where but if you look long enough you will find it. LOL.
