I am getting irritated at how long this approval process is taking. I mean it is bad enough that my former surgeon decided to leave 180 of her patients right at the end of their pre-op journey, then we all get sent out to different providers. So yea that set most of us back from a closer surgery date. And now my provider's clinic is saying they need this that and the other before they can see me again. It isn't like it is exactly MY fault that WOMACK and my doctor's office is requiring a 2 week wait to get the records to them (no idea why they are doing that either). I told the hubby today I was about to go pop someone in the head if it didn't get here sooner. But really why do they make people wait two or more weeks for records to get shipped. Especially when you go in and they are all sitting around shooting the breeze and you say excuse me like 4 times before one of them rolls their eyes and comes to the window.

It isnt the surgeons office it is my normal PCM that is dicking me around with the having to wait two weeks. WOMACK is another one I could slap because they said two weeks as well and I found out today that they all went on vacation two days AFTER I put in my request and they will not be bac****il NEXT wednesday. No I am sticking with this surgeon because he has a good track record. I guess I made it sound like it is the surgeons office's fault but in reality it isnt. THey just have to have those records before they can proceed, more so for safety and so I don't have to go threough all those tests again and get set back further.
Ah! The beauty of dealing with the military, especially at Ft Bragg. Different scenario, but my daughter dealt with WOMACK and others while trying to PCS to Germany in April. My SIL was already over there and she was trying to get everything done back in the States. A room full of uniforms couldn't figure out what to do about anything. My daughter called her hubby and told him about the extreme lack of assistance. A little old German lady in the travel office at Bamberg got everything done in one phone call! Then the ticket office at Bragg messed up the names on the actual tickets. They weren't gonna be able to fly according to Homeland Security. My daughter complained and found out Bragg had the names for her and the boys all screwed up on DEERS, Medical records, tickets, ID's...anywhere they could. Spelling was wrong and ID info was wrong. Again, Little German Lady to the rescue! All fixed and the paperwork was faxed to Bragg same day. Hmmm...Admin = Lowest scorers on the ASVAB tests???

I dunno. But I am ging to bed on that phone this coming week EVERYDAY until I am told that my surgeons office has those records. Because all I have left to do is the cardiotest, maybe a blood panel or two and the liquid phase right before surgery. I am already on the low carb high protein diet.
