RNY Scheduled 5/23/11

Hi, my surgery is June 3rd so I'm not that far behind you. I'd like to keep in touch. I'm dieting right now as well. Don't yet know if I've lost anything. Did your doctor say how much you should lose before surgery? Is there some specific number of pounds that I haven't heard yet. My pre op is Monday so maybe I'll find out then. But please chime in if any of the rest of the responders knows.

Congratulations to all of you.

There are other support groups - one is at Rex the last Thursday of each month - Dr. Enoch's group does this one.  There's also one at Wake Med Cary the 2nd Tues of each month.  I went this past Tuesday - didn't know a soul and didn't say a word but enjoyed listening.

I think there's one at Duke Raleigh Hosp too, but I have never been to that one.
