Plus-size dresses for wedding. Any suggestions for REALLY cheap in Raleigh area?

My Mom and I will be going to my brother's wedding in 3 weeks. We both need dresses. She is a size 24, I am...I think a 26 or 28 now? It's been a long time since I tried anything on. (But hey, down from 34+ heh.)

Funds are tight - so any consignments in the area with plus sizes? I'm more familiar with kid consignment as that's way more fun. :D

I do not have a solution for the wedding outfits, but i do have a box of summer clothes size 22/24, 2-3x  if you could use them. I live in North Raleigh close to the Mall.
