Those of you who had your surgery with one of the doctors @ Bariatric Specialists of North Carolina,  when you had your initial consult did you actually meet the doctor?   If not at what point did you meet the doctor that would be doing your surgery?  Thanks

I met with Dr. Enochs on my first consult.  I did the online seminar January 25th and had my consult and first meeting February 10th.  I got approved April 5th.  So it took exactly 10 weeks from start to approval.  It went by fairly quickly, just seemed to take forever.

Thanks Jenny.   10 weeks would be great for me LOL!  I have 6 months of  weighing in due to my insurance.  

I also met with Dr. Enochs the first visit.  I think from my first visit to surgery date was about 3 months.  Went very fast and insurance approval was overnight!! 

I met with Dr. Bruce on my first visit also. I went to the seminar in January and saw him in Feb. I had my surgery on June 18. I had to get my gall badder out first. Then I couldn't have time off wor****il June. I am very thankful that I had the surgery and everyone there was super nice :)

I also met with Dr. Enoch first visit in Feb.  Everything has gone smooth, got all my prelims done was approved first of April, had my last visit with Dr. Enoch on Apr 12th, they scheduled surgery for this coming Mon April 28th!!! I am so excited. Have had a great experience with all at Bariatric Specialist. Only issue, expect to wait when you go to the office always WAY behind, but I have no issue with that as he and his staff always spend as much time with me as I need, never feel rushed through. Only fair they do that with all their patients.  Bring your laptop (free wifi) or a good book and patience.

I had my surgery on 4/28/10. Dr Enochs was my surgeon too. And I am in Morrisville as well! Let's keep in touch...

I know what you mean about the wait. It drives me nuts! So for my 1st year visit, I have scheduled the 1st appointment of the morning! Hope to be in and out! Good luck with your surgery... Just read your post again.. Coming Monday isn't 28th. It's the 25th. Maybe you have the date wrong?
