Hello, new here and to NC.  Looking for friends and possibly someone to walk/workout.  It is gonna be a long journey, no sense in suffering the hot days walking alone.  Come on lets get moving.

Welcome to the Forum and to NC! We used to have a pretty vibrant eastern NC group here, especially in the Camp LeJeuene area. As you can imagine we have people coming and going as the begin their journey and then finally get to a maintenance level. Hopefully, we'll have some more eastern Carolina folks chime in with you. In the mean time, I look forward to getting to know you and learning more about your journey.

All the best,

Barbara

Where in Eastern NC do you live? I'm out in the boonies, in northern EC, so I'm pretty sure that we won't be clsoe emough to work out together but, I'm just always curious about where the North Carolinians are at!! By the way, I see you all the time on the RNY forum, Glad you stopped by here!!

P.S. Our surgeries are only about a half a month apart. What phase are you in now and what kind of protein stuff are you eating?

Hey Anni, I am in Elizabeth city.  As far as my eating plan, I am nearly dying.  I can have soft/pureed.  I have been eating yogurt, cream soups, chicken, potatoes, fish, gravies, popsicles (lots of these), and cheese.  I do not like eggs or cottage cheese, so I am struggling.  I also try to get protein shakes.  I think I will nurse one tonight.  I only get about 400 calories in a day.  And I struggle with the water.

Go look on the RNY forum for my post "Easy peasy protein snack". I put it on this evening so it shouldnt be hard to find. It's a good soft snack that's made with a container of your favorite pudding. All you do is pretty much stir. It's good and you get as much protein as in a shake but only about 3 oz
