New to OH! Surgery 4/6/11

 Hello All,

I am new to this board. I am scheduled for Roux-en-Y on Wednesday at Carolina's Medical Center-Northeast. I am glad to read some positive feedback on others. 

Anyone else in the area? Huntersville..Charlotte..Concord?

Hi Amy, Welcome to OH and the NC board! I just came to the NC board myself since being on the RNY forum for a month or so. Believe me, you will learn so much more about your surgery on OH than you could ever dream. Things that just cannot be read on the internet. There are alot of posts about what issues or problems they are having, but dont think yours will be that way. There's a saying on OH that the people that dont post on here are too busy out there living their lives to be bothered to post. Whatever, but I have had absolutely no problems with my surgery. Been able to drink normally since I got out of the hospital, and nothing has made me sick or queasy or dump so far. I have a friend that I think still lives in Concord, havent talked to him in a while so he might have moved back home...Anyway, Good Luck with your surgery and make sure to keep us all posted!

Welcome aboard. I've got extended family in and around your area (Charlotte, Concord, Albemarle & Locust) Can't wait til I can get back up there to see them.

Good Luck on the upcoming surgery. Remember to pack a tube of chapstick or some sort of lip balm. Everything else that I needed my hospital provided. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help you on this journey.
