Newbie to the NC site

Hello North Carolinians! I had my surgery on March 11 2011, in Puerto Vallatra, Mexico. I have been on the RNY forum everyday since I joined OH and have learned so very much. I always see people on the MP or RNY forums from NC and want to give them a shout out, but felt a little dumb to do it. I have seen this forum many times, but being computer (almost) illiterate, I didnt realize what I had to click on to get here! I know, I know! Anyway just wanted to introduce myself, to everyone here and I will be hangin' out here more since I now know how to get here! I already recognize some of you from the other forums. Glad to know that we keep NC going

I haven't had my surgery yet. I am scheduled for rny on the 6th just 3 more days. I am very excited. You will have to let me know what to expect.

I plan to be on here as much as possible too.

I have seen your posts on the RNY forum......this site has been very helpful to me.....I tend to read a lot more than I post......I am also on the lightweights forum which is a VERY supportive group so you may want to check them out sometime.  It has been helpful to see how others who are near my RNY date are experiencing and it is nice to have people to ask questions.......I try to check on the NC page every few days.....there isnt as much activity on here.

I've seen you post before. I remember, because I love Kermy!! Actually Gonzo was my favorite! All my posts are always so friggin' long! I dont know why I cant just spit it out, and not go so in depth about everything. Some people can get right to the point. Anyway, I'm glad that you guys responded, because I was starting to think that there were only the same people on here, and they didnt even post that much. Anything you want to know, Lenkay, I'll be happy to share. I'm only 3 weeks out, but I do alot of research and absorb alot from these forums, so I'll help the best that I can!!

It's great to have you here and I look forward to getting to know you as you make your way. We used to have a very vibrant and active NC forum and I'm hoping that as more of you newbies find your way here that we will again. This forum has been a wonderful 'safe harbour' for many because it has traditionally been a very warm, accepting forum. Normally, I'm here on a daily basis and will try to respond to most posts that I see, especially from those seeking support, asking questions, etc...
