Any Raleigh-area consignment shops?
I've barely lost any weight (some pre-op, a little post-op) and already some of my clothes are getting close to being unwearable. I have a lot of loose pants because I hate wearing tight clothes, and my clothes tend to be tight at the thighs even when they're loose at the waist. Well, a small amount of weight loss means the waistbands are now ridiculous already.
I'm wondering if there is a place where I could bring in some of my clothes and maybe get credit toward clothes in a smaller size?

I've been lookiing too but haven't found anyplace with a good selection of Plus sizes. I have so much that I hate to take to Goodwill as they are brand new or nearly new. Some things will go Goodwill but the nicer stuff I would rather get something for. Maybe posting on this Forum would be the best shot. So, I have some items (including some Holiday wear) in sizes 5X or 36/38 if anyone is interested.
What size are you lookiing for? Maybe someone has something they are willing to sell or give you. I have plenty that I would also give away!

I have a support group that meets in the Raleigh area once a month and we do clothing swaps occasionally. I also do some 'Goodwill Hunting Trips' periodically and take people around to an assortment of consignment, second hand, thrift and GoodWill stores. You are welcome to join us when we go shopping. You can get information about upcoming events at www.meetup.com/nc-wls.
I am out of town now with a family emergency, but I'll try to get you a copy of the list of stores that I like. Please PM me if I don't get it to you within a week or so.
