Checking in

Well life is in full swing with family drama and we have major water damage in both bathrooms.
From my understanding our homeowners insurance will help cover the repairs.
Oh Boy I get to pick out new colors for tile I am going to go with stone tile in both.

Mother turned 80 on Friday and my sister drove down from Hickory to make her breakfast and spend the day with her.
Well that morning I got a call from mother saying the doctor at the health care place fired her.
OMG what was she talking about.
It appears that my mother has been abusing the system and as hard as it is to say she is hooked on pain meds and drinks.
What a mess.
So what the heath care people have been doing is giving her a weeks worth of meds at a time only within two days and mother calling them for more.
My siblings and I are concerned about withdrawl and her age and heath.
So I went over there Friday and told her she had lost the right to take her medications.
Come Monday I am going to try and figure out a way to give her meds.

I worked yesterday but did not have a demo for today.
I made reservation to take mother to brunch at Southern Seasons well she called last night wasent sure if she could go.
Oh well at least I tried.I am happy to say yeah I am under stress but not making bad food choices keeping up with my fluids every day.
Even tho everyone else is in shambles I am feeling good about me.

 Hi Barb,
my faithful friend.
I am praying more for guidance through this hard time with my mom.
Who would have thought this would be the way she choose her later years.
I do know I am stronger and can stand my ground.
So I am looking for someone who works with geriatric people and the problems that it can have.

 Hi Deb,
For the first time ever I try to always put Annie first.
When I made the choice back in 98 to take control of my health I knew what ever obsticles were in my way I put improved health as number one.
I am not perfect but OMG I cant ever start to tell you how wonderful I feel in the mornings walking my dogs.
I told my mom I actually feel taller and am able to hold my head higher.
For many years I always was worried about falling so I always looked down when I walk to make sure I did not step on a root or hole that would make me fall.
Life is good and I am forever grateful to be here.
