Well...hello there again!
Hi folks. I know it's been a long time since I've been here. I have been lurking around a little but thought I'd post and let you guys know what's going on here. I saw Dr. Chapman today for my 18 (which turned out to be 20) month checkup. Everything is going really well. I lost another 0.5 lb since Feb. and am maintaining well (although that really is the hardest part). He told me to stop obsessing over the scales and start obsessing over portion control and exercise. Easier said than done. I am going to have to do some prescribed Vit D but on a better note I was checked out at a festival Saturday (a hospital was there doing wellness checks) and my blood sugar was 110, blood pressure was 108/57 and cholesterol was 169. Pretty good, eh?
As far as that exercise thing goes...what kinds of exercise do you do? I really would like to try running. Did a run/walk a couple of weeks ago and it felt really good but was sore in unusually places for a couple of days. I have a recumbent bike but aft6er seeing how many calories I actually burn it was depressing.
Did tell Dr. Chapman that I have no problems other than those that I bring on myself...like eating too fast. Still having trouble with that.
It's good to be back...I'll try to be around a little more.

Glad you are doing so good. I think the exercise is up to you. What you like to do. Don't pick something you are not going to like. Before my revision on October 8th I walked 2.2 miles 4-5 days/week. Love to walk. We have even started jogging some.
All research I have read says that the exercise is the most important thing to do to keep the weight off because it keeps the metabolism revved up.
