home from lap band to RNY

Well,

I am home from lap band to RNY.   So glad the surgeon was able to do surgery.  I had to be there at 8:30 am.  Dr. Cox was there by 9 and was pacing wanting to do the surgery.  I think he was anxious!!  I was his first lap band to RNY.  He said surgery was easier than he thought it would be. Surgery was about 3 hours. Was wide awake in the recovery room. Told the nurses if they could find me duct tape I would tape the woman's mouth beside me.  THey moved me out of the recovery room pretty quickly.  Don't understand why??

Feel better at home. I am taking lortab and it is helping a lot.

I'm glad everything worked out well for you!!  I had lapband by Dr. Cook there at Hickory surgical back in Jan 08' and just had it removed July 10'.  My insurance wouldn't pay for anything else, just removal.  I'm maintaining!  Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
