Self Pay Vertical Sleeve Costs and Recommendations
I am looking for good doctor recommendations for self pay on a vertical sleeve procedure.
The Lake Norman Group advertises a price of $12,800.00. I consulted with a local Duke doctor who is saying a vertical sleeve will cost $27000.00 self pay and suggested if I wanted a better price I should look into a Rex doctor. My cousin had her surgery at Rex it was a vertical sleeve with a duo switch. But she had insurance which paid for her operation and I don't have that luxury. And she did not know what the price would be for self pay.
Can anyone please recommend a good surgeon who does self pay vertical sleeve surgery in the Raleigh Durham area? I will travel out to Lake Norman if I have to do so. I just don't understand the huge price difference.
I don't know if providers work these message boards but if they should my BMI is 63 and one of many reasons why I feel the VSG is the best option for me.

DR Joya in Mexico, I know some people shutter when you say Mexico but the hospital is part of an American hospital chain, Very new and clean and frankly better than an Hospital room I have seen Here. I'm A nursing student and I can honestly say The care I got was great.
THe cost for my RNY was $12,500 all inclusive Airfare, Hotel, Hospital and surgery.
The sleeve is $10,500 all inclusive.
