Help With Nausea

Hello folks.

I had my surgery back on August 30 and have been sick as a dog since. Renal failure in the hospital didn't help and the kidney infection I have now isn't either. My delimma at this point is nausea. I stay nauseous even with the meds. What should I do? The Dr. knows and doesn't seem to think it's anything to be worried about. Any suggestions besides crackers beside the bed, wet rags, and a bucket.

are you taking any medication for it. I take Zofran when I am really bad nauseous.  It is a god send.  I do not get sleepy with it either

You may need a different medication or a combo of meds or to include a PPI with your nausea med.  If you doc is not receptive, keep calling and keep complaining.

Another thought is that dehydration can lead to some horrendous nausea.  It can also be related to kidney issues.  How is your fluid intake?  You may need to head over to the ER and get a couple of bags of fluid.

 Steep dried basil in ho****er to make a tea.  Drink it how ever you drink regular tea.  Works like a charm and counts toward your fluid intake!
