My surgeons leaving I need a new one!!

just found out my surgeon will be leaving and moving to another state. Looking for recommendations for great surgeons, in Raleigh, Charolette, Fayetteville area!!! Center of Excellence...thanks...please refer someone that u were really and still happy with

I had surgery at Durham Regional through the Duke weight loss center. It is a center of excellence. My surgeon was Dr Torquati. I really like him and two friends have also used him. Not sure where you are located, but hope this helps

I can personally recommend the staff at Duke. I particularly like Dr. Dana Portenier, but all are more than competent and Duke's program is one of the Centers of Excellence in this area. Here is a link to the ASMBS website which provides a listing of the practioners that have an ASMBS designation and says (Centers of Excellence) next to their name if they are part of an ASMBS COE program. I believe that is lists all NC practioners within NC and shows how far they are from Raleigh.

I had surgery this past Tuesday.  I am very happy with my surgeon.  His name is Dr. Pirrello. 704.316.7740
He is the most caring doctor I have ever met.  He listens and helps you along every step of the way,  He genuinely wants to help you.  He is in Matthews, NC (near Charlotte.)
I highly recommend him.

I had surgery last week (8/4) with Dr. Jon Pirrello also and he is the most wonderful dr you could find. He makes you feel as though you are his only patient. If you are anywhere near Matthews, NC or even if you had to drive a ways, I'd highly recommend him.

I am not familiar with the Center of Excellence.  His office could be but I am not familiar with that.  All I can tell you is that I am so impressed with Dr. Pirrello.  I know a lot of nurses that know him and work with him and love him.  I also have 2 friends that used him for their surgery and care.  He is very impressive!  He is available to you, all the time!  Good luck.  I am sure you will make the right decision.
