OBX Area Anyone?

My husband and I will be relocating to the OBX area and was just looking to perhaps meet other couples/people in the area that are on the same journey as we are.

Hi Christina -

I'm Cindy and my husband & I live in the beautiful OBX.  We are both WLS patients...I had my surgery 16 months ago and my hubs is finishing up his pre-approval steps and waiting on a date.  There are many of us here in the OBX who have met through our local support group.  I'll be happy to update you on our group once you make it here.  Let me know.

Thanks for the reply.  I'm so glad to hear that there is a local support group in the area.  My husband and I will be in town 8/8 - 8/18 looking for a year round rental.

Hi Christina,

Looking forward in meeting you 2.  I spoke with our Jennifer, our support group leader today and told her about you.  She's excited because that's more people for our group.  She'll be coming to this board soon and giving you a shout out.  What size home are you looking for.....how many bedrooms, etc.?  Maybe between Jen & myself we can help keep an eye out for you.

That's great.  Our biggest hurdle will be finding a home that allows three labs.  House must have a fenced back yard.  Other then that, we are pretty flexable.  Min 2 bdrms.

I'll pm you my cell phone number just in case something comes up.  I will not have much access to a computer while we are traveling.

Ok, got you added you to my friends list and Danny & I are going to get the newspaper down and call our realty company to give them heads up for what  you're looking for.  What price range are you looking at?  Not sure if you're aware of it but rental cost is pretty high in the OBX area.  Anyway, looking forward in meeting you, as a matter of fact, Danny suggested us getting together and going out to dinner.  We can give Jen & her hubby to be an invite.  Anyway, can't wait to meet  you.

Sorry for the late reply.  We have been soooo busy trying to finalize the move and all. Just really crazy times.  I can't wait to get off of this darn roller coaster!    We should be in NC permanently Sept 18th!!  Yippee Skippee!!
