NC DSers lunch on 8/16 (x-posted on DS board)

This started out as a Sudan DSers lunch, but all NC DSers are welcomed to join us.  We will be having lunch at the Ruby Tuesday at the back of Northgate Mall in Durham (about 5 minutes from the Duke WLSC) on 8/16 at 11:30 AM.  (Northgate Mall is at 1058 West Club Boulevard in Durham.  The phone number to Ruby Tuesday is 919-286-5100.)  There will be pre and post-ops at various stages there. 

Please shoot me a pm if you plan on attending so we'll know how many to expect.

I have a pretty large support group in the area and we have some DSers, would you mind if I posted your outing so that those interested might be able to contact you? When I post a meeting a message is sent out to the membership, so some who might not be checking the board will get an email letting them know about the lunch. 

I also was wondering if you would be willing to let me attend. Though I had RNY, since I run a large support group that has a broad cross section of surgery types I really like to know all that I can about all of the different surgeries.

I jsut got a call today that Dr. Sudan's appointments for that date are all being rescheduled, so Renee and I won't be there.  I assume the others (there would be about 4 others) will just have lunch without us.  I guess you'd need to ask them on my thread on the DS forum.

I'm not sure when my appointment will be rescheduled.  I might just skip it.  It was a 9 month checkup that he said I could skip since I was doing so well.

Barbara, sorry I'm just seeing this post, we had our lunch yesterday.  However, we have decided to hold monthly meetups for support, and I just posted the next meetup for Sept. 17 on the DS board.  PM me for details if you are interested in coming and/or telling the DS'ers in your group about it!
