Good Morning Everyone!

Hope everyone had a GREAT 4th.  I know I did!

I usually go back home, the Poconos, for a family reunion during this time of year at least every other year.  This last weekend was the year I was to go.  With all the changes at work I was not able to take time off this year.  Instead of getting upset about a situation I am unable to change I had my first cookout at my house since surgery 3 years ago.  We had a wonderful time and everything on my menu was either WLS and/or diabetic friendly and no one was the wiser.

Today is back to reality and the office.  It is suppose to get above 100 degrees here and my office is on the 2nd floor of a building that can not keep up with heat, so I am sure it will be very warm in my office this afternoon.  I will need to be mindful of keeping hydrated.  I tend to wait until I am thirsty to drink and that is usually too long to wait.

Hope everyone has a GREAT Tuesday!    Keep cool and hydrated!

Hi All,

You haven't seen me much lately because my life has been turned upside down and inside out. I'm hoping that most of the drama is over and soon life will return some semblance of normal. Because of the stress, I haven't been eating much and my weight has been dropping. I'm down to about 130, which is my lowest post-op weight. I guess it's better than pre-op when I would have gained at least 30 lbs.

My fourth was a bit lonely because my SIL and her husband went to San Diego to spend time with their son and DIL for the weekend and my MIL didn't want/feel up to going to my son's future inlaws for the festivities, so I was stuck at home with my MIL.

Things have been unbelievably stressful, but I'm hoping that the corner has turned. We have finally moved out of the house. Once I get home, we get to unpack and start settling in to the new house. In the meantime, I'm caring for my MIL in CA and hoping to have some good time with my sons, DILs and their families.

I've missed you all and look forward to seeing more and less of you.
