I went to see the PS who has worked on me a few years ago he removed the hanging stomach and made me a new belly button.
This was done after I lost the first 300lbs he removed 21lbs.
He did nothing with my mons at that time so since wls OMG it is horrible and prevents me from being able to wear regular undies.
Finally the other week I bought two girdles and OMG I love them they make me feel great.

My doctor had not seen me in a few years and he was very happy to see how well I was doing and looking.
He is so positive and made me feel comfortable and said he could take care of the mons and my arms OMG!

I dont know if he wants to this at one time or arms at one time and mons another time.
He plans on submitting this to bcbs and took the usual pictures.
I also reminded him he has the magic pen.
I had all my notes together and pointed out that the hanging skin is causing stress in my relationships (Thank You ibeannieb) for that tip also when I had the stomach done I was not married and did not have insurance and from my understanding bcbs will pay for one abdominalplasty.
I am so thrilled with the thought I could have normal looking arms I could wear sleevless thin straps ect....

He will not do a thigh lift because of my lyphadema thank God for compression.
Can you belive I came close to not going this morning?
So I picked up my Alanon book and read the passage for today and just reading that gave me the courage to go.
I love that book it is called The Courage To Change.

The best thing ever is....... I can go home the same day after surgery.
Those of you who know me on a personal level know that my animals are my life.

One more thing, I found the Andy Griffith song and am playing it for my birds and I am sure they are going to learn it they are great talkers and love to whistle all kinds of tunes.

Life is good and I am loving every minute of it.

LOL Barb,
I keep Lee on his toes we are going to the lake tomorrow.
I love cruising the lake and taking a dip and the best thing is I can get up the boat ladder in shallow water and deep water we have tried it that makes me remember when I could not do it at all.

I'm glad you're doing so well, Annie.  I have just not been able to get to the support groups.  Seems as if there is always something else going on.  I do check this board and this website every day.  I don't go back to Dr. Farrell until Sept.--1 year.  I have now lost some over 150 pounds.  My goal now is to get below 200.  That'll take a little while.  I am feeling so much better and am able to do so many things I couldn't before.  Who was your plastic surgeon?  I know we have talked about this, but I can't remember.  Was that surgery awful?  I sure dread the thought.  I hate for everyone to know how ignorant I am, but what are mons?  I don't think my arms are going to bother me as much as my legs and stomach--and tiny, sagging boobies!  Let me hear from you when you can.  Maybe I'll make the support group soon.  Kisses to your animals!

I am so happy for you.
I may not ever make it to 200 or lower but my God the way I feel now and from where I was I am grateful.
I can even cut my own toe nails now.

Teresa,
I woke up this morning and though darn I did not answer your question.
Ok here we go some call it the muffin top some call it your burrito the correct term is mons pubis.
From my understanding now when they do an abdominalplasy removal of the hanging stomach they include the mons too.
My surgeon;s name is Dr. Scott Hultman at UNC he also did reconstruction surgery on my sister in law after her double masectomy.
