Hey check out your shodow! (x-post)
As I was walking between classes yesterday on these bright summer hot and sunny days I noticed something strange. Or to me it was a bit strange. My shadow is very small. This is just one more measurement that helps remind me the number on the scale is not all that important in the overall scheme of this journey. The numbers that really count are the testing numbers at the doctors office and the numbers on the measuring tape as well as the number on your clothing tags. Once your BMI is below 30 that number really means very little. SO cut yourselves some slack and think about where you are now or you newbies (Hey I guess I don't have to be considered a newbie anymore!) think about where you will be soon going and don't sweat the number on the scale. It really is a big fat liar after a certain point. My scale reads 160 most days right now but I wear 6's and 8's and my undies are a size 5 and my bra is a 34b. I am 5' 3" tall so the scale says I am still fat but the mirror and my clothes and my shadow says a very different story. Just food for thought (pun intended LOL!)
