Visited my Dr. on Tuesday, and because I could still feel pureed food in my chest he did not give me a fill.  I understand why, but I did want to lose weight...I know I am being anxious.  So right now at 3weeks post op I have lost 20lbs.  I am now beginning soft food stage so I am wondering if any of you can help with ideas of what is good to prepare for this stage.  And food goes dowdn easily now.

Thanks for you help

I would say that the you will find that the dietary protocols each practice uses are one of the biggest variables from one practice to another. So, I don't know what your program calls for or how it classifies a soft food stage. Also, you will find variations from RNY to DS to LapBand, so I am hesitant to advise you on what to have. When I was 3 weeks post op, I was still on a liquid only diet. At 3.5 weeks I moved to what my program considers a soft diet which consisted of lean proteins that could be cut with a fork, nothing with skins, seeds or that was cruciferous. If you look at my blog about a month after my surgery, you'll see what it consisted of. All of that said, your program may have a very different protocol.

Congratulations on your excellent start to a new life.
