wednesday Check In
Not much planned today. I've got lots of things I need to do around the house tonight but I really feel a lazy streak coming until the weekend.
It's a protein shake for breakfast, egg salad for lunch and a seafood salad cold plate for dinner. Not a very creative menu but hey - it works for me. Hope yall have a wonderful day.

I'm finally coming up for air. The trip to San Jose normally takes about 7 or 8 hours and because of delays, took us nearly 14 hours. While the trip was grueling, I have to say the fact that I'm small enough to have room to spare in my little airline seat made it easier. The flight was full and there was a woman in the middle seat in the row in front of me that was about the size I was before surgery and she sat with her arms folded in front of her the whole flight because she was trying to 'fit' into the little seat. While I was uncomfortable and had to keep shifting from side to side, I was grateful to have the room to do that and really felt for the woman that was where I used to be. I am so grateful to have not only the health improvements that this journey has brought me, but also the quality of life improvements.
The weather here in northern California is delightful. It's like a fall day in North Carolina... clear, dry, lovely day warm, but not hot days. I look forward to seeing my kids when they get home from work. I can't wait. In the meantime, I'm going to be seeing about putting together a nice, healthy dinner of baked chicken breasts with grilled mushrooms and onions, swiss cheese and white wine, fresh green beans, a green salad and rice pilaf.
Well, I guess I'd better head off to the kitchen to start that dinner.
Hope everyone had a good day.
