Good Morning Everyone!   

Can you believe it is FRIDAY?  I can, it should have come 2 days ago!  Here I am wishing my life away?!?

I don't know what is going on with me, but last night is the 2nd night I had to go to bed before 9pm.  I got more than 9 hours sleep the last two nights and I usually have problems getting in an average of 6 hours/night.  I really think it is the heat and humid weather.



Today I will stick to my protein drinks and cold meal/snacks throughout the day.  I have really been pushing the fluids, so I will continue on that again today.  I was able to mow only about a third of my lawn last night, so tonight I hope to work on that again tonight.

What are your plans for the weekend?  Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend!

It's Friday...It's Friday...Woo Hoo Hoo....It's Friday....

I don't even care that it's not payday this week. I just can't wait to get home this afternoon and slip into my shorts and tee shirt. Tomorrow we're putting the Hobie cat in the water and probably the Wave Runner too. It's time to play.Sunday we've toyed with the idea of a day tip to Ocracoke to visit some friends of mine from the Mountains but the weather man is talking about it being CRAZY hot so I'm not sure that we'll do that.

Planning on lots of grilling over the weekend. No need to heat up the house when we can fire up the grill. I'd love to have some grilled tuna, corn on the cob and fresh squash......hmmmmmm.....I think I know what David's having for Fathers Day dinner.

Iris,

I have a new recipe that I do on the grill with veggies:

4 medium yellow squash sliced
1 large vidalia onion slice
2 medium green peppers sliced


The italian dressing that you make.  I use their recipe but use more vinegar and less oil. 

Take your sliced veggies put in ziploc bag and marinate in dressing in fridge turning bag several times over a period of time (I do this the night before I grill them).  Drain veggies before grilling.

Then put in grill basket or my grill has a griddle, and coo****il brown.

Per my friends this can go with any meat.  I have made this twice and it is terrific.

I've been having melt-downs lately, some literal, some figurative....

Today is more unpacking, packing, moving.... the story of my life lately and I'm soooo tired of it... again, literally and figuratively. I'll bet you all are tired hearing about it. 

Tomorrow is the monthly support group meeting in Raleigh and I hope to see people there. It's summer time, so the group tends to be a bit smaller. It looks like we'll have 25 +/-. This will be the last time we'll be meeting at Perkins or any other restaurant for our general meeting. We'll be meeting at the American Cancer Society Conference Center starting in July. 

Well, that's all for now.
