Good Morning Everyone!

Running a little behind this morning so I will need to make this shorter than usual.  Another hot one predicted for today so I will stick to my increased fluids and cool food plan.  I did have a grilled steak and veggies last night and it really warmed me up again after eating.

I will be in several meetings at least through the morning today, so I do not know what the day may bring.  I really hate getting in and out of a vehicle when it is so humid outside.

Iris, between you and Nik, I have new recipes to try out and will probably wait until this weekend to get them all together for next week's food.

Well I am off for a shower and to get ready for my first meeting.

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL day!

I made Nik's Reese Cup pie last night - OMG!!!!!! The only part I had last night was a few bites of the filliing and I brought the actual pie to work today. WOW!!! Not only is the taste right on but the presentation is the real deal.

My boys "forgot" I had chicken marinating for dinner last night. They called when I was pulling in the driveway to tell me that they were just leaving Subway and were bringing me dinner. They know I love the Tuna salad flat bread. Yummo.

David comes home tonight!! I'm feeding him the chicken and he'll think it's a celebration dinner! Ha ha ha - I'm not going to tell him any different. He knows I missed him. We've got as ton of yard work to do again this weekend. Yesterday's rain must have had miracle grow in it - cause I swear the grass grew 6 inches over night last night.

Hope everyone has a great day.

New recipes and I missed 'em! Darn! I can see that I really do need to get this move done and be able to get back to a 'normal' life where I have some time to come on OH and share.

We have a couple of appointments today and more packing to do. Ben is having some people come help try to get the rest of the stuff out of the house on Monday.

Sarah and I will fly to San Francisco on Tuesday. We won't get there until 1:30 am EST and then we'll need to catch an airport shuttle to get down to San Jose, so I don't think we'll really get there until closer to 3AM EST. I'm filled with mixed emotions about the upcoming trip and even that has me somewhat distressed. This should be a joy-filled trip and I'm just full of trepidation. I'm not sleeping or eating very well. However, I'm holding my weight at about 135. I had to take my gown for the wedding to the tailor so that they could take it in... That's the good news I guess, because before my surgery, I would have been taking it to the tailor to let it out ... LOL.

I miss you all and will talk to you soon.

Good morning or almost afternoon!

I made it to work today but I really wanted to play hooky. I was enjoying hanging out with my children this morning and would have enjoyed just spending the day with them.  This having to have money to pay bills thing really suck in the summer.  I would love to just spend the summer with them when they are off from school.

Well, I better get some work done.  Hope everyone has a great day!

See what you miss when you are not here?

The link for the Chocolate Peanut Butter pie is http://bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com/2010/06/chocolate-peanut -butter-protein-frozen.html

Iris also posted a few days ago the following:

http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/NC/4190647/Grape-Salad-Rec ipe/

and Iris pointed out that since I was sticking more to cold meals, I should try substituting shrimp and imitation crab for the chicken in chicken salad.

We also visited the recipe forum and found a few recipes to try.

We really miss seeing you on the forum.  Come on by and post more often.

Maybe a recipe everyday will get you here?
