- What thought or message would you want to put in a fortune cookie? It would definetly be sarcastic....something like "Are you honestly looking for your life's direction in a cookie?"
- If you had to give up a favorite food, which would be the most difficult to give up? I thought about this long and hard prior to having surgery and it kept coming back to the first thing I thought when I found out I was diabetic....."I'll never be able to have Mammy's Chocolate Cake ever again" and the pity party that followed that thought was ugly. But then I realized she's been dead since 1986 and no one in the family has ever made that cake since she died. Duh......
- What is one food you’d never want to taste again? Go Lytely.....not really a food but if you've ever had a colonoscopy you know what I'm talking about.
- What award would you love to win and for what achievement? It's not really an award but I'd love to have Paula Deen call me for a chat or chance to swap recipes.
- What is one item that you really should throw away, but probably never will? His name is snowball. .....It's a threadbare stuffed dog that used to be white and it did have two ears and eyes but I drug that poor thing at least a gazillion miles when I was young. It really looks horrible and it has moved to the attic BUT I just can't seem to part with it.

- If you had to give up a favorite food, which would be the most difficult to give up? Not really a food - Mountain Dew - my major addiction. I can't believe I haven't had one in over 3 months. I would miss eclairs and other french pastries.
- What is one food you’d never want to taste again? Also not really a food any Isopure protein - makes me sick to even type that word.
- What award would you love to win and for what achievement? Not sure - "Best Talker" for Keeping up chit-chat to help keep others calm during an emergency or tough time.
- What is one item that you really should throw away, but probably never will? The shoes I wore for my wedding 19 years ago. They didn't fit then. Now, they still don't fit but now they are smushed and dirty and moldy but I will probably never be able to toss them.

- If you had to give up a favorite food, which would be the most difficult to give up? Not really a food, but pre-WLS I was like a raccoon and drank several glasses of water with my meals/snacks. So it really amazes me that I have to work at getting in all my fluid because I really don't get very thirsty and I have no problems not drinking with meals/snacks.
- What is one food you’d never want to taste again? Buttermilk-YUK!
- What award would you love to win and for what achievement? The lottery (I don't know how since I do not buy tickets) for chosing the right numbers!
- What is one item that you really should throw away, but probably never will? A robe that I wore pre-WLS that is a size 5X and is so very ratty, but very comfortable.
Apparently I haven't won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes for much the same reason as your not having won the lottery - got to be in it to win it. Hmmmmm...guess I'll have to rethink my retirement financing strategies.

I will answer and kind of make this a hi there post. I am still pre-op. My name is Crystal and I am currently living in Indiana. We will be moving to NC about this time next year. I can not wait!
- What thought or message would you want to put in a fortune cookie? something off like "you eat eyeballs with a spoon" LOL
- If you had to give up a favorite food, which would be the most difficult to give up? I <3 milk! oh and lava cake. and mashed potatoes. and MAN am I hungry. lol
- What is one food you’d never want to taste again? its a toss up between okra and asparagus (too slimy)
- What award would you love to win and for what achievement? Being the best mommy to my little dude that I can be.
- What is one item that you really should throw away, but probably never will? I too have a stuffed animal that is so old. It is a lion with a harlequin print body and stuffed with sawdust. My grandmother bought it for me when I was 2. I was so allergic to it but I didn't ever want to be without it. It is in a plastic bag because I am still allergic and in my closet. It will probably be barried with me.

Crystal - what part of Carolina are you moving to? I'm with you on the asparagus thing - YUCK!!! the girls at work keep telling me that if you grill it right it's really good but dang I can't get the memories of the cooked can stuff outta my head. Double YUCK.

Elizabeth City is looking like a winner right now. We are actually leaving tonight to go there and the surrounding area for the week. This should be an exciting trip to say the least.
I have a co-worker that tells me the same thing about grilling asparagus. I can't get beyond the ick factor either.

I'm only 45 minutes or less from there. There's a support group that has started in that area as well. Last month we combined the Outer Banks group with the ECity group for a pot luck and speaker. We're hoping to do that a few times each year.
